The Apothecary and The Dancer: Chapter 10
“Wow! We’re up so high!” “Careful now, Tressa. Taking a tumble off of the cliffs from this high up would not end well for you.” “Aw, I’ll be fine, Professor!” Alfyn chuckled as he watched his friends admire the view, except for Therion, who had grown quite pale and looked quite determined to stay as far away from the edge of the cliffs as possible. The town of Orewell was situated even higher in the Cliftlands than Quarrycrest had been, and the view was indeed rather breathtaking. However, he couldn’t quite enjoy it fully, for he had things on his mind that caused the smile to fall from his face. Distancing himself from the rest of his companions, Alfyn wandered off until he was standing in the middle of one of the bridges over the canyon, connecting the two sides of the town. He sighed deeply and gripped the railing, so hard that his knuckles turned white. No matter how hard he tried, he could not stop thinking about what had happened in Saintsbridge. Nightmares about the events
Summary: 50 sentences of Sylvain and Lorenz. --- #01: Air It was an amazing thing, Lorenz mused, that something as insignificant as Sylvain showing him a genuine smile was enough to knock the air from his lungs like he had been punched right in the gut. #02: Apples Sylvain tossed the half-eaten apple at Lorenz as he turned around, and Lorenz took a bite, secretly hoping to get a lingering taste of Sylvain among the sweetness of the fruit. #03: Beginning From the moment they met, Lorenz had a feeling that Sylvain would become a thorn in his side, but he of all people should have known that thorns can be accompanied by something quite beautiful. #04: Bugs “Get back here Sylvain!” Lorenz screeched, and Sylvain only barely managed to dodge the huge cockroach that was thrown at his head as he ran for his life. #05: Coffee “Coffee? Ugh, what an awful, bitter drink!” Sylvain agreed with Lorenz on something for once, but he would never actually admit it. #06: Dark “C’mon babe
Summary: On the day of his first anniversary with Charon, Hermes shows up at the river Styx for business as usual, and to surprise his love with a gift. He did not expect anything in return, but Hermes should have known by now to expect the unexpected when it came to Charon. --- Another day, another trip to the river Styx for Hermes, weighed down with souls ready to be taken to the underworld. The God of Swiftness had an extra sense of urgency as he raced through the skies towards his destination, for today was a special day; it was his and Charon’s first anniversary as a couple. With a goofy grin plastered on his face, Hermes glanced back at his satchel, filled to the brim with messages and items of various importance that needed delivering. Nestled between all of that was a small box containing his anniversary gift for Charon, and Hermes was absolutely giddy with excitement to finally give it to him. As he quickly approached their usual meeting place, Hermes' smile grew wider

Business and Pleasure
Summary: They always say that nothing good will come from mixing business with pleasure, but if you were to ask Hermes, he would tell you that it was the best thing that he had ever done. --- As the messenger of the gods, and a conductor of souls into the afterlife, Hermes was always on the move, making his deliveries with the swiftness that he was famous for. He loved his job, as the important, time-sensitive work let him challenge himself to get things done as quickly as possible. The fast-paced lifestyle suited Hermes perfectly. There were some rare occasions, however, where he preferred to take things slow and wished that time would do the same. His visits to drop off souls at the river Styx were such occasions, and that had everything to do with the river’s notoriously intimidating boatman. “Charon! You got here before me for once!” Hermes paused his descent from the sky and watched as Charon turned towards him, his boat rocking slightly with the movement. His eyes
Summary: Lorenz knew that semi-frequent Roundtable meetings were necessary to make sure things were running smoothly in Fódlan, but he sometimes wished that they were a little less...dull. Well, thanks to the antics of his most mischievous child, this meeting in particular would definitely be one to remember. --- Lorenz had been fully prepared to take up the mantle of governing the County of Gloucester after his father retired, and it flourished impressively under his rule. Luckily, he did not have to carry the full weight of governance himself, as his husband had been raised to someday inherit a noble house as well and knew the ins and outs of politics. Sylvain had been the best life partner that Lorenz could have ever asked for, both as a joint ruler of Gloucester territory and as a parent to their many adopted children. Roundtable meetings were currently taking place at the Gloucester-Gautier estate, and Sylvain was off in talks with the former Kingdom lords. Lorenz, meanwhile
Summary: With the war finally over, Balthus travels to Kupala with Byleth, eager to introduce his new fiancée to his mom. A small part of him was nervous about how his two favorite ladies would get along, but luckily, he had absolutely nothing to worry about. --- “C’mon sweetheart, you’re not getting tired already, are you?” “Hmm, you’re the one falling behind. Do I need to stop and carry you?” Balthus barked out a laugh as Byleth glanced over her shoulder at him, an eyebrow raised as a small grin spread over her face. Their journey across Fódlan had been a long one, but they were currently crossing into the outskirts of their destination: his mother’s home of Kupala. It had been a while since Balthus had visited the quiet mountain village, as the war had obviously kept him rather busy. He was happy to finally be able to see his mother again, but he was even happier that he was not alone, but rather accompanied by the woman that he loved more than anything else in the world. “Heh
Summary: Just over a year had passed since the day that Frederick lost the love of his life, and he was starting to wonder if Robin would ever find her way back to him. Luckily for him, she finally did. --- “Bend your knees more when starting your attack; you will put more power behind your swings that way.” “Yes, sir!” Frederick nodded in response as he watched the young knight-in-training adjust his stance and continue practicing. The knight captain of Ylisse resumed his pacing between the rest of his new recruits, giving more advice or demonstrations as necessary. He managed to keep a straight face and do his job, despite the fact that his mind was somewhere else completely. Biting the inside of his cheek to keep himself from sighing deeply, Frederick’s gaze shifted to the sky above Castle Ylisstol’s training yard. He was finding it harder and harder to focus on his duties as a knight, mostly due to the gnawing void in his heart that seemed to grow larger as the days dragged on
Summary: It had been ages since Wheeljack and Ratchet's different views on the war caused their breakup, but even the passage of time couldn't heal Wheeljack's broken spark. But now that Ratchet was back in his life, Wheeljack felt a warmth blossom inside of him that he hadn't felt in a long, long time. --- Wheeljack had always hoped that he would someday reunite with Ratchet, but he didn’t think that day would come quite as soon as it did, or contain as much...animosity between them. “Ratchet, wait up!” After Optimus had dismissed the Spacebridge team to prepare for their mission, Ratchet had immediately left the room, but Wheeljack couldn’t just let him go off on a potentially dangerous excursion without speaking to him. Ratchet stopped and turned around, his optics narrowed slightly as he stared down at Wheeljack. “What?” “Er, well…” Wheeljack hesitated for a moment, scratching at one of his head fins as he averted his gaze. Honestly, he didn’t really know where to begin
Summary: College AU. With the spring semester of his first year of college finally over, Sylvain is excited to have a fun and relaxing summer, especially since his busy schedule had kept him from spending an adequate amount of time with his boyfriend, Lorenz. During a double-date at the beach on perfectly hot and sunny day, Sylvain realizes that he really does feel something special for his once insufferable roommate. --- The harsh rays of the summer sun beat down on Sylvain, and he lifted his hand to his forehead to shield his eyes from the blinding light. Normally he’d hate this kind of heat, having been raised in a rather cold climate, but that was not the case today. He stood on a beautiful sandy beach, and he couldn’t wait to take a dip in the crystal-clear water. Sylvain had a feeling that this was going to be a perfect day for an overdue date with his boyfriend. “Hey, Sylvain!” “Where’s your man at?” Er, well, it was a double-date, actually. Summary: The war ends, and Raphael is all set to become a knight. He knows exactly who he wants to protect for the rest of his life, but he isn’t so sure that he is worthy enough, as that very person is none other than Dimitri, the Savior King himself. The fact that Raphael was hopelessly in love with him only made this problem of his worse. Written for Raphael Week Day 6, Prompt: Future --- “Hmm, I think that’s all of my clothes…” Raphael grunted as he pushed himself up from his knees, grimacing as his legs tingled because they had fallen asleep. Glancing around his room, which was mostly stripped of his belongings that were now packed into a couple of boxes on the floor. It felt a bit weird, leaving the place that he had called home during his time at the academy and for the last leg of the war. He had made many memories at Garrag Mach, but it was time for him to return to his actual home and look for work as a knight. An uncharacteristic sigh escaped him at the thought. He

Olberic felt like he was in a dream. When he had set out on his journey to find Erhardt, all he could think about was making him pay for his betrayal, for his murder of the king they were both supposed to protect. It should have been the easiest thing in the world, striking him down.
And yet, here he stood, inside of Erhardt’s modest Wellspring home, white-knuckling his cup of tea that was untouched and getting cold. In the end, he couldn’t strike that final blow. The duel in that cave had brought back too many of the good memories from the past. The laughter and the friendly rivalry. The many drunken nights and mornings after he
